Well the weather so far this week has spared us from all the storms that were (are) expected. It makes you draw up every time they mention hail in the forecast when you have a greenhouse full of plants. That’s why they call it farming though, we take the bad with the good.
When we started this adventure we never wanted to be a large farm, We wanted to be a Good farm. We want you to be able to eat good safe food just like our grandparents did. We still do a lot of things that are time consuming even though they make things to do it quicker. When we drop each seed in the ground by hand we know exactly where it came from and where it’s going. We even say a prayer for God to bless it ! So you see when we say “Growing Good Food For Good People” – We really mean it !
So this week at the Market’s we will have – swiss chard, lettuce, spinach, radishes, zucchini squash, spring onions, mustard greens, a little broccoli and this is going to be the last week for asparagus.
So come out early for best selections. Let’s hope for more sunshine to brighten things up. As always we appreciate your support !
