What’s At The Market This Week- April 23, 2014

As the Market season begins for us we are going to do our best to post here on our blog and on Facebook each Wednesday what will be at the market. Our Montgomery County market in Troy is on Thursday’s from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the public parking lot in downtown Troy. This market is a growers only market so what you buy comes straight off the local farms.

Our Saturday Market is the Stanley County Farmers Market and it is located in downtown Albemarle at the old Train station. This market is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon each Saturday.

So each week check in here and follow us on Facebook for what will be at the Market’s for that week.

Our High Tunnel tomatoes are really blooming now and hopefully before long they will be hanging full of tomatoes. We have started planting our field crops but are still seeing some cold nights so it will probably be next week before we set out our tomato & pepper crops.

Our Zucchini squash have been great so far and it looks like we will have several for the market this week.

And this year we are proud to be associated with “Got to be NC Agriculture”. If you see this logo at the markets you know you are getting the best local produce possible !

Remember we are a Pesticide free farm, growing food like our grandparents did over a 100 years ago.

This week at the markets……… Asparagus, Swiss Chard, Butter head lettuce (the prettiest we have ever had) Red & White spring onions, spinach, Zucchini squash and radishes. So if you get a chance stop by one of the markets and say hello. We always appreciate your support !
